MOM IS FINALLY COOKING AGAIN (:
After a gazillion years I really want to taste her cuisine. HAHA (:
I think I screwed up my ENGLISH. I wrote about the leadership thing in an argumentative perspective.
Just that I didn't write a stand or something. HAIZ. So? I fail.
Or maybe by a wink of miracle-ism I'll pass. HEH.
HELLO PEOPLE! I haven't blogged for nearly a week.
Not like some people.
HEHE I'm an avid blogger. I told you before!
Anyways someone's going to be a FISH TODAY!(:
Fishcake fishcake fishcake!
That someone said that she will NOT DOZE OFF!
AND SHE DID! :D
HEHE. Okay, apparently indian sweets aren't to our taste.
And here's another one of our..
Stories! (:
Byebye! ^_^

A journalist one day asked the Master to name one thing that characterizes the Modern World.
The Master unhesitatingly replied, "People every day know more and more about the Cosmos and less and less about themselves."
And to an astronomer who held him spellbound with the wonders of modern astronomy the Master suddenly said, "Of all the millions of strange objects in the universe the black holes and quasars and pulsars? the strangest, unquestionably, is the self!"That - is why I'm anti-council. They work so hard to learn about the school's weakness, to try and attempt to work on them. They know everything. But they don't know themselves and the problems they're causing to us.

Broke. ♥

Looks like they've finally officially ended.
Just like I've speculated.
Remember I hate people who treat it like a game.
Then I looked through the old posts on their walls.
And thought,
"They were going a little bit too fast."
Like what, resuscitation within a month? O:
Now that you two ended, go find a new life.
Treat life seriously okay? And once you found someone that you truly love..
Treasure that person. Care for that person.
And..
Don't stray off that path once you've decided. (:
Good luck!

Sherbet falls. ♥

This makes me wonder,
Why the hell are our school councillors not allowed to be CCA leaders? O:
Cheryl's one, Felicia's one, Bernice's one, Ying Xin's one,
And what's common? All went for ULP and passed out.
So what in the world's wrong with our school?
Maybe they want councillors to concentrate on their job. Maybe Mdm Halilah's selfish.
I will never know. ._.
You see, even Cavin neglected her homework and didn't get punished once.
Yong Xin, Kumar and the others all got owned by her. But the councillors?
No.
Precisely. What contributions have they made to the school?
What leadership qualities did they exhibit in front of the school?
Breaking school rules? Being late? Smoking? Gang-fighting?
Perhaps now is the wake-up call for the teachers.
Perhaps this year's leaders can make a change.
Perhaps, they can finally respect the fact that EVERYBODY's equal in TK.
Perhaps they'll finally understand each student has his own strengths.
Perhaps they'll show some respect to the CCA leaders and Class Committee.
Perhaps...
It's time to make a change. It's up to you guys now.
Me? As a unit leader cannot do anything. I'm not in the position to do so.
See the irony in the word "leader"?

Super-imbahhh story (: ♥

Haha it's storytime!
There was once a fat blob of oil (Yeah, pretty obvious already huh? :D)
Then it made it's way to earth from a far far away land named skinnyland. (Ironic!)
On earth, it split into two. (COOL!)
One went into a potato, the other was born as a baby girl. (HAHAHA~)
And the two were separated, until now.
The girl had a very special name called Hage Ell. (HL! LOL!)
She would go swimming every after-sunday. (The day after sunday-.- AND YOU CAN'T SWIM! O:)
She was so happy. But one day the potato came. (Ehhh sci-fi siah!)
The potato took  a step into the calm water, and oil started to leak all over.(EXXON VALDEZ OIL SPILL!)
The oil started to sizzle on the water with a scent of popcorn. (Random!)
Hage-ell decided to go toward the scent of the popcorn and waddled there. (GOT OIL! Can swim!)
Then when the potato and the girl met..
A SHOWER OF HEARTS CAME RAINING DOWN FROM THE SKY.
Followed by strawberries! (STRAWBERRY AVALANCHE!)
Awesome story. This is part ONE :D
Part two coming soon in August!

Looking at my super old blog posts from over a year back makes me feel super nostalgic (:
That was the time when I was more childish than this :D
Haha like seriously. That time I was posting random stuff and other nonsense nealy twice a week ):
OMG I just saw the drama on channel 8 (Yeah I'm watching it haha :D) and the woman's handbag got burnt.
Sigh. If that happened to my walletI'll cry like some asshole hehe.
Tomorrow's there's DNT and I haven't finished my analysis OR my SBS.
HAISH.
Okays that one was about one being so arrogant until he doesn't realise that he minutely changed the world.
And it also says that although you are quiet and small in size you CAN make a difference to the world.
And lastly before I go find a paragraph on some controversal topic..
Math is impractical. :P (Notice the 'P'? It has a line of gradient infinity and a COMPLETE part of a reciprocal graph.)
LIKE WHO CARES=X (OOPS! Intersection point!)

From Xiaxue (xiaxue.blogspot.com),
Flushed over toilets part I -
"As far as I am concerned, you have a physical disability - and that is where you have a disadvantage. Your bladder is working fine isn't it? So you wait, just like normal people do, when there is a queue for the toilet. The rest of us queue up to use a toilet - I don't see why the disabled should be any different."
-This is about handicapped toilets being used by only disabled people.-
How truee.

Parable. ♥

From now on this place shall be a source of inspiration to myself and others(:
I hope.. :D
There were two bullets. One big, one small. The big bullet was rough, huge and packed a lot of power as compared to the small one. It glared at the small bullet and said, "Haha, you shall never beat me, you don't have enough power to. I shall make the first kill."
The small bullet felt sad, and just kept quiet.
Finally, the war began. Both sides were fighting heavily across the borders. The whole world seemed to be coming to an end. The big bullet said, as it entered the barrel of the huge gun. "Bye, puny bullet. My power shall make a change to this war. And you? Your presence shall not make a change."
And off the bullet went. The small bullet felt lonely for once..
Finally, the war was over. The bullet was ecstatic. He looked with a certain gleam in his eyes, knowing that his friend who went to war will come back once again. He knew that the bullets will come back. He knew that he will not be alone any longer.
He knew that the bullet which humiliated him was coming back, and life will return as it used to be.
However, before he could wait for even a day, he was brought to the war museum. There, he was placed in a certain transparent glass display. It was comfortable. With a big sigh of relief, the small bullet sat down and waited for his friend to come. "He should be in here too! He worked hard for this!" The small bullet thought.
The big bullet never appeared through the door. "Why?" The small bullet wondered. Suddenly a piece of shrapnel appeared at the entrance to the museum. He was black, dirtied, and had a certain glow about him. He walked proudly through the corridor, glancing upon his rival as he stepped up on his pedestal of victory.
"I told you my power will change the world. You shall forever remain as a tiny bullet. I shall become the pinnacle of firepower in the world." The big fragment said with pride.
However, little people knew about the true nature of the war.
The big bullet spread radiation throughout the world, and won the war for the opposing fraction. People were jumping for joy, happiness and brilliance soon spread throughout the country. On it pedestal it read, "Remember this bullet, for it helped to bring joy and happiness to our people."
The small bullet was kept in the armoury. It was never deployed throughout the war. It did not take even a single life. People were suffering in the country because of the imminent lack of firepower. However, on its display it read, "Remember this bullet, for the fact that it was never deployed, it saved the world from yet more deaths and brought us universal peace."
It's my story, and does the big bullet remind you of someone? :D

More important. ♥

Okay so today we had our YOG briefing cum orientation.
So many rules and regulations! And this is LEGAL since I'm blogging about the internal training.
Sigh. Okay then I shall just keep my mouth shut about this (:
Anyway got a lot of weird things today.
There's a Daniel ONG sir, a Daniel FONG sir and now a Daniel WONG e-mailed me from Mountbatten CC.
Sigh why got so many Daniels one D:
MY CLASS ALSO GOT ONE! O;
Then then the news say that Paul (Yesh, that football-predicting octopus-.-) has a few animal buddies!
And they include giraffes and racoons and..elephants? ._.
YEP they're all predicting results of either the WC or the upcoming YOG haha (:
Okay then time for yet another inspirational story(:
This one..
Tells us that our presence is important in love :D
A man going abroad to work leaves his fiancee crying. "Don't worry, I will write you everyday," he said. For years he did write her. But since he was happy with his job, he had no immediate plans of going home. One day, he received a wedding invitation. His girl friend was scheduled to be married. To whom? To the mailman bringing regularly the letters of her boy friend! Indeed, distance does make hearts flounder.
The poor boyfriend surely explained, "What went wrong? I sent her letters, chocolates, and flowers." When relationships go wrong, the list of things given and done for the person usually crops up. We say, "I have given you this and that...I have done these things for you." It seems that love is simply proven by the bestowal of gifts and favors.
But while presents are important, love demands what is basic: presence of the beloved. I have observed for instance, the orchids of my mother. When she's away for a long time, they are unhealthy and many of them wither. But when she is around, they bloom with beautiful flowers. My mother does nothing exceptional. She just spends much time talking and caressing them.
I guess persons all the more require a caring presence. Love is fundamentally a commitment to a person. We may be committed to our business, job, hobby, sports and clubs, but strictly speaking, they cannot love us back. Only a person can love us in return, and for that matter the highest commitment as human beings is spending time with those persons we love. And since people need affection and nourishment, material things can only help up to a certain degree in fostering love. But it can never replace the greatest gift of presence.
Martha was busy with her job. She believed she had to work harder because she loves her father who is sick of cancer. She has to provide for his expensive medicines. Her brothers and sisters meanwhile stayed with their father most of the time. They bathed him, sang for him, spoon-fed him or simply kept him company.
One day Martha was hurt. She overheard her father telling her mother, "All our children love me except Martha." "How can this be?" Martha thought. "Am I not the one killing myself in my work to have money to buy for his medicines? My brothers and sisters do not even provide their share in the expenses as much as I do."
One night, as Martha was as usual late in going home, she peeped for the first time in the room where her father was lying. She noticed that her father was still awake. She decided to come close at his bedside. Her father held her hands and said, "I miss you. I don't have much time. Stay with me." And she stayed with her father holding his hand the whole night.
The next morning Martha said to everybody, "I have taken a leave of absence. I would like to be with father. I will bathe him and sing for him from now on." Her father had a beautiful smile. He knew this time Martha loves him.
* As children, we need the assuring presence of our loved ones. Adult people need no less. *

Chinese was so damn fun listening to Huang Laoshi talk haha (:
I miss NING LAOSHI! Why must go back China D:

Sigh, and then got physics.
WE SHALL ALL CLOCK IN AT 7 TOMORROW! O:
Mdm Loo mentioned tomorrow.
LOL! Then had recess, and yeah, had no appetite though D:
Then DnT huh..SPAMMED WRITING!
I swear when I was in Secondary Two I didn't know DnT was so tough.
It's tougher than any other subject like seriously haha (:
Maths engineering plus physics in one subject, plus fabrication and theory and the "proposal"-like folio..
It's killing me. I get the feeling that my life revolves around proposals now haha (:
Then Chem was awesome too!
Cuz me and the bench 10 gang (SDC, Afiq and Vanessa) kept joking.
Then I took a piece of litmus paper and put some Silver Nitrate on and it turned red.
HAHA I feel like separating the silver from the nitrate (:
Then selling the silver and making BIG BIG BIG bucks(:
Heh. It's impossible though.
And it' time for yet...another INSPIRATIONAL STORY!
The previous one on the teacher taught me that discipline is not the only thing that's important.(:
One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”
“It was great, Dad.”
“Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked.
“Oh yeah,” said the son.
“So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father.
The son answered: “I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
“We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
“We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
“We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.”
The boy’s father was speechless.
Then his son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.”
This one teaches us to not look down on people, The lesson learnt here is inexpressible in words.

Wednesday, July 7, 2010 ;

There is a story many years ago of an elementary teacher. Her name was Mrs. Thompson. And as she stood in front of her 5th grade class on the very first day of school, she told the children a lie. Like most teachers, she looked at her students and said that she loved them all the same.

But that was impossible, because there in the front row, slumped in his seat, was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard. Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed that he didn't play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy and that he constantly needed a bath. And Teddy could be unpleasant. It got to the point where Mrs. Thompson would actually take delight in marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X's and then putting a big "F" at the top of his papers.

At the school where Mrs. Thompson taught, she was required to review each child's past records and she put Teddy's off until last. However, when she reviewed his file, she was in for a surprise.

Teddy's first grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is a bright child with a ready laugh. He does his work neatly and has good manners...he is a joy to be around."

His second grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is an excellent student, well liked by his classmates, but he is troubled because his mother has a terminal illness and life at home must be a struggle."

His third grade teacher wrote, "His mother's death has been hard on him. He tries to do his best but his father doesn't show much interest and his home life will soon affect him if some steps aren't taken."

Teddy's fourth grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is withdrawn and doesn't show much interest in school. He doesn't have many friends and sometimes sleeps in class."

By now, Mrs. Thompson realized the problem and she was ashamed of herself. She felt even worse when her students brought her Christmas presents, wrapped in beautiful ribbons and bright paper, except for Teddy's. His present which was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper that he got from a grocery bag.

Mrs. Thompson took pains to open it in the middle of the other presents. Some of the children started to laugh when she found a rhinestone bracelet with some of the stones missing, and a bottle that was one quarter full of perfume. But she stifled the children's laughter when she exclaimed how pretty the bracelet was, putting it on, and dabbing some of the perfume on her wrist.

Teddy Stoddard stayed after school that day just long enough to say, "Mrs. Thompson, today you smelled just like my Mom used to." After the children left she cried for at least an hour. On that very day, she quit teaching reading, and writing, and arithmetic. Instead, she began to teach children..

Mrs. Thompson paid particular attention to Teddy. As she worked with him, his mind seemed to come alive. The more she encouraged him, the faster he responded. By the end of the year, Teddy had become one of the smartest children in the class and, despite her lie that she would love all the children the same, Teddy became one her "teacher's pets."

A year later, she found a note under her door, from Teddy, telling her that she was still the best teacher he ever had in his whole life. Six years went by before she got another note from Teddy. He then wrote that he had finished high school, third in his class, and she was still the best teacher he ever had in his whole life.

Four years after that, she got another letter, saying that while things had been tough at times, he'd stayed in school, had stuck with it, and would soon graduate from college with the highest of honors. He assured Mrs. Thompson that she was still the best and favorite teacher he ever had in his whole life.

Then four more years passed and yet another letter came.. This time he explained that after he got his bachelor's degree, he decided to go a little further. The letter explained that she was still the best and favorite teacher he ever had. But now his name was a little longer -- the letter was signed, Theodore F. Stoddard, M.D.

The story doesn't end there. You see, there was yet another letter that spring. Teddy said he'd met this girl and was going to be married. He explained that his father had died a couple of years ago and he was wondering if Mrs. Thompson might agree to sit in the place at the wedding that was usually reserved for the mother of the groom. Of course, Mrs. Thompson did. And guess what? She wore that bracelet, the one with several rhinestones missing. And she made sure she was wearing the perfume that Teddy remembered his mother wearing on their last Christmas together.

They hugged each, and Dr. Stoddard whispered in Mrs. Thompson's ear, "Thank you Mrs. Thompson for believing in me. Thank you so much for making me feel important and showing me that I could make a difference."

Mrs. Thompson, with tears in her eyes, whispered back. She said, "Teddy, you have it all wrong. You were the one who taught me that I could make a difference. I didn't know how to teach until I met you."

I finally understand what we've been doing all the while distances you from us further.
We'll try to make more changes, okay?
Forget about the previous legacy, the bad memories they left us.
It's a whole new era now. And till you take over from them.

Yeah my post is in lime green (:
HAHA. Anyway, today everything sort of paid off(:
But there's still Exercise neutrality to re-do. SIGH.
Okays, I'll start chionging tomorrow (:
Now here's the story of the pencil parable (:
The story that Qiu Yu Sir told us about in UIP(:
The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box.

"There are 5 things you need to know," he told the pencil, "Before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be."
"One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in Someone's hand."
"Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you'll need it to become a better pencil."
"Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make."
"Four: The most important part of you will always be what's inside."
"And Five: On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write."
The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.
And now the post is back to lime green, and the pencil is now you.
There are 5 things you need to know before you set out into the world.
One: Like a pencil being able to write only if someone holds it, you will be able to achieve only if you alow someone else to guide and help you.
Two: Like a pencil, you will be blunt and will require sharpening at times. However, after sharpening, after going through the difficulties you face in your life, you will eventually become a better person.
Three: Like an eraser on the back of a pencil, you will be able to improve from your mistakes and not commit them again.
Four: Like the most important part of a pencil being lead, the most important part of you is your heart and character, and not on worldly possessions and wealth.
Five: Through every surface, every hardship you walk through, every difficulties you face, you must leave your mark and cntinue on with life.
Allow this parable on the pencil to encourage you to know that you are a special person and only you can fulfill the purpose to which you were born to accomplish.

Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot make a change.
And here ends the parable (:
